The house was full of all the different trades and it felt like a very busy and productive week, and lots of further progress was made as electricians, plasterers, carpenters, painters and general builders were in and out most days. It was difficult to keep track of all the work being completed by day, but in summary:
- Doors installed to all frames, including the double doors into the kitchen
- Door frame architraves added to all doors
- Skirting board fitted to the kitchen
- Initial painting of doors and frames
- Stud wall and plastering in hall area in front of old conservatory doors
- Plastering of ceilings in the hall and landing
- Plastering of dressing room and en-suite walls & ceilings
- Plastering of walls and ceiling in the downstairs cloakroom
- Fixing of floor (previous issue) in extension corridor
- Doorway in utility room opened up properly and frame fitted
- Lighting installed in kitchen and setup of wifi controls
- Connection of main appliances – we were able to cook for the first time in the new kitchen!
