This was a week of focusing on some of the key external work to enable scaffolding to be cleared and the patio work completed. However, it was one step back first as the tower to the chimney was added to enable full access to it in the coming days. A specialist team were in to do the vertical tiles of the house cladding as they had to tie in new extension and windows without causing further disruption to the vast areas of tiles that have been there for years. We certainly did have it in budget to replace all tiles! Thankfully they appear to have done a great job and it feels like another significant step towards completion. There is only now the re-installation of the woodwork around the dormer windows and all associated painting left to go before that areas is completed.
Internally the decoration continued with the completion of the wallpapering and now mainly finishing touches left in the hall and landing. Other than the bathroom (not yet started, but all items now delivered for it) there is only the front porch and annex hall left to decorate fully.
