The week was focussed on working through the snagging list internally, whilst the external work was on the completion of the patio edging and replacing some of the original paving at either end of the connecting patio areas. There was also a bit more work on the patio walls to tidy up some of the wall and paintwork. Lots of items were completed but it still feels like another week or two before all is finished.
Main activities this week:
- Sanding and painting of previously filled cracks to landing ceiling & kitchen ceiling and walls, including the bulk head
- Re-painting of en-suite to ensure consistent match where cracks had been filled in various places
- Kitchen skirting mastic edging applied throughout, giving a nice clean finish between floor and woodwork
- Mastic applied to kitchen island edges
- First areas of mastic applied to edges of tiled area in hallway to match tile grout
- Patio retaining walls & stairs given another coat of sand / paint mix, prior to final coat of white paint
- Slim drainage fitted to patio door threshold area, and concrete layer built to lay final tiles to connect internal & external tiles
- Tiles cut to size and fitted at appropriate angle, including around drainpipes to either side of patio doors (grouting to be completed)
- Original paving slabs refitted to garden walkway and path out from back door to side of house
