Officially, the builders completed their work on Friday 14th April, which was just under 17.5 months from when they first started. Since then we’ve been waiting for a few things to be completed so that we could do a final post with all works finished, so here it is! Sorry for the number of photos and by now many people have seen it in various forms, but we wanted to have a full view to look back on. As there were quite a few items completed on the snagging list I won’t detail all tasks, but the main additions are the glass balustrade to the decking area, the finishing of the tiling to connect the kitchen and patio and the installation of the window shelf in the main bathroom. After the builders departed we have had the first wave of planting completed to the patio and retaining walls, with more to come shortly.
I hope you have enjoyed reading these posts as much as I have writing them, it’s been a much bigger project than we expected but we are very happy with the results. The guys were great, but it will be nice to have the home back without hearing vans turning up at 7.30 every morning and not having what seemed a permanent portaloo on the drive.
It’s now time for a break, but we do still have 2 guest bedrooms, our master bedroom, the dressing room furnishing, the utility room and the downstairs annex bathroom to complete… but that is for another time!
And a final drone video too:
