The bathroom was the main focus this week, especially as the tiler was initially lined up to work on the patio but was scuppered again by poor weather so switched to the tiling in there instead once the electricians had completed the first fix on Monday. That meant faster than expected progress as he has tiled the floor and completed most of the walls, with most other areas to be painted after plastering. Two more carpets were also fitted this week, with now only the stairs and landing left to go once the builders have finished upstairs, but it is booked in pre-Christmas.
The decorator was not with us this week so there are a still a few areas to finish off but there is likely now only a week of work internally as we approach the finish line. All of the external work will be weather dependent, mainly as the levelling needs to go in when its dry – once that is in they will likely work through the conditions. They managed to get one section completed which was only slightly affected by some paw prints as it was drying…

Now that the kitchen has fully opened up the space definitely needs filling, so we’ve ordered our dining table (due for delivery pre-Christmas) and looking into a corner sofa for the window area. Just some chairs to go and we will be well set to host Christmas!
