Week 59 – A Wonderful Christmas (just in) Time

The Christmas period marked a nice long break for all, including the builders, and it has certainly been nice to have the house to ourselves every day and not have to be up at 8am everyday letting various trades in! However, to prepare us for the Christmas hosting this year we had tasked them with ensuring as much of the internal work was completed as possible. They made great progress through the snagging list and completed many of the internal to do list, working right up to the end of Friday 23rd. There really are now only a handful of jobs left in the house and hopefully the weather will enable the external work to start in earnest again soon. During the week leading up to Christmas they also completed work on the extension roof and completed the tidying of the guttering and pipework outside. The house got a great test run on Christmas Day and it was lovely to have so many family enjoying themselves in the new surrounds – it makes it all worthwhile.
