A short week and quite a bit of prep work on plumbing and electrics in the ceiling void area, so it’s not a very visual week. The baton was then passed back to the builders to continue the roof work which meant there was still some good progress as we near being secure and water tight for the first time.
Main activities this week:
- Electricians completed first fit and have put all cabling in for lighting and switch locations
- Plumber installed first sections of waste for ensuite toilet and shower and completed further plumbing work to the ensuite shower and tap locations
- The dressing room was stripped back with wallpaper, carpet and skirting removed
- Painted all the wood struts, added and primed the underside boarding
- Added the weather proofing and underlay – and the batons! – ready for roof tiling, with some initial tiles added to test placement
- Delivery of most of the ensuite items, including a lovely new bath
Another short week is due next week but hopefully there will be an exciting end to it.
